Older workers get sick all the time!  Older workers don't know anything about computers!  Older workers are less productive! These are some of the myths that the folk I call ElderWorkers encounter as they face the job market.  So we need to debunk those myths and provide equal opportunity for seniors who want to work. At this time, when companies are considering how to restructure because of the effect of tariffs, those myths might convince employers that they should retain younger workers, or discount applications from older applicants. You’ve just retired. Or you’re making plans to retire next year.  And now I’m suggesting you keep working? How annoying is that? It would be easy for senior to ignore me.  After all you deserve to stand down. You’ve reached the age when you should be able to step away and put your feet up. But this is not the right time.  The world is going crazy, there are real wars or economic wars everywhere, and we need everyone to play a role in steadying the ship.  It’s not the time for the most experienced among us to be absent...

Robert de Niro is a great role model for ElderWorkers.  Yes, he starts off serving coffee but look at what happens next.  Required watching for every older worker who seeks to have their experience acknowledged!
